Do the push walkers cause the same kind of toe walking as the sit-ins?
We didn't use a sit in walker, but my 18 month old is a toe walker. Can the stand up push walkers cause this too?

Some babies walk on the tips of their toes no matter what you do or don't do. My daughter has never had a walker, and she does this sometimes. They have to learn to walk and balance their weight on their feet while flat. Most babies do on their own no problem.

My daughter did use the stand-up walker and she does not toe-walk. So I’m not sure if there is relationship… there wasn’t for my daughter.

my son used the push walker and yes he walks on his toes… but i don’t think two are related at all…. his doctor told me a lot of babies walk on their toes, ans apparently it runs in my family as well… myself brother father and sister still do it sometimes

There is no link between the two.
Every child walks on their toes from time to time. The time to worry is if they NEVER walk on their flat foot. This may be an indication that their foot cannot bear weight properly. ALso, motor skill disorders come into play, like cerebral palsy.

Anyway….dont worry if your child does this, they think it’s fun. The only time to worry is if they consistantly do it all the time. Again, there is no walker-toe link.
