How high is the demand for dog walkers?
Well, my friend and I would like to walk dogs. We've noticed that a lot of dogs just get chained up for an hour or two; and we feel bad. Our prices are cheap, and our walks are long. We live in an apartment complex. There's a lot of dogs, some are walked, some not. Before we make fliers,and start. I'd like to know how much you'd pay, and for what services. If you know anything about the level; of demand, it's much appreciated.

it does depend on where you live … my vet clinic has business cards for local dog walkers and the going rate where i live is 25 dollars a hour … you could check with your local vet for any dogwalker business cards or go onto your local craigslist pet services section and see what others in your area are charging … i live downtown and the downtown crowd loves dog walkers, i have to turn clients away … i would only take dogs you can handle (no out of control dogs) … most people do not want their dog walked with another strangers dog … you can offer digital pictures of the dogs on walks emailed after each walk to show the dog having fun outside … you can also offer to bath dogs … many people do not want to take the time to bath their own dogs but will pay someone else do to it … i make the owners supply everything needed, the shower, the shampoo and the towels, it is their responsibility to brush it out before i arrive … don’t charge extra for big dogs, charge per hour and supply the pooper bags yourself :O)
