I am actually think about starting this service myself. I am a disabled veteran that can no longer work, and dogs seem to keep me from going off the deep end. If I was in Newark, I would gladly help. For the price, I would not think anymore then 10 dollars a day, and they should check water. The dog should not have food except for twice a day, before you go to work and when you get home. Walk should be at least 30 to 45 minutes

My dog walker charges $ 16 for a 30 minute walk. I have seen others that charge over $ 20, though. They will usually be glad to change water, give some food, etc. as part of the charges. The charges don’t usually depend on the size of the dog. Another option is day boarding or day care, but the better day care places with lots of play time for your dog can be very expensive, around $ 30 a day.
