Mobility challenged: Looking for a portable way to be mobile for longer distances?
I am semi-mobility challenged. I can walk - just not for long distances. I would like to be able to go to museums or yard sales, flea markets or fairs but can not because I am not am to walk more than a block. For some reason walkers & rollators don't seem to help. Wheelchairs are too expensive and seem like overkill for my situation. Does anyone know of any equipment that might help solve my situation?
How do you get the 4 wheeler to the flea market? [I only have a small sedan].
The reason I can't walk long distance has to do with my hips and legs literally and very suddenly giving out on me.

Get a four wheeler, you'll be the coolest person at the flea market! If you cant afford one, then build one using an old lawn mower motor.

There are not many methods of moving unless motorized. I am a Senior, and I have neuropathy in the soles of my feet. I am physically able to walk far since I did research on walking shoes. First, orthopedic walking shoes help people with foot problems. If you are unable to exercise often, there is a special walking shoe that atheletely tones your leg and hip muscles as you walk. The shoes are based on Masai Barefoot Technology(MBT). Masai were African warriors who walked barefoot and had excellent walking ability. When you walk in these special shoes, your foot moves forward like when you walk on a sandy beach. The walking movement exercises your legs and lower trunk. It takes about two days to adjust to the shoes. I purchased to pairs, brown and black, and I can walk without any pressure on the soles of my feet. If interested, go to http://www.swissmasai.com. Use MBT.com for shoes online to find dealers who offer discount on shoes.
