Whats a good scotch whiskey I can get for my Dad for Christmas that is contemporary to the Johnnie Walkers?
Thanks for the feedback. If it makes any difference, he mainly drinks JW and Scoresby of all things, He also likes Glenffidich and McCallen's.

not sure about scotch whiskey but crown royal top shelf is very good,
also gentleman jack is quite tastey

Its competitors are considers to be Chivas and Ballantine. But to me they taste quite different. It is blended scotch (unless you want to get into some of the very expensive high end JWS). A search for highland blended scotch should come up with something close.
If you are looking for cheaper then try Dewar’s or Teachers. Both are perfectly acceptable scotches.

if he like blend, some marks are very good, j w is ok, red or black, or blue-new-, chivas, ballantines and dewars was very famous too!
if he want try pure malt, non blended scotch whisky, many many different, me especially like orkney or islays, try for example laphroaig, a very special single scotch whisky, who can not let you indifferent!
